Hi friends in this article i am gonna show you how to run safe mode in windows 8 while you are logged into it.In previous version of windows i.e windows 7,in order to boot or run safe mode we used to press F8 at the time of booting but as in windows 8 by pressing simply F8 one cannot run safe mode.First of all going into the discussion what actually the safe mode means.
Safe mode allows the user to troubleshoot the operating system to determine which application is not working properly.Suppose you have installed a new software or drivers,
this software can cause conflicts with the existing software, then the safe mode will come in handy. Now as we are aware of what exactly the safe mode means lets see how to run this in windows 8.
Steps for running safe mode in windows 8:
1.Open Run by pressing Windows+R.
2.Type "msconfig" in it as shown below.
3.Now a window will popup.Browse to boot tab in it.
3.From it check the "safe mode" button.
4.Now choose the type of safe mode you want to boot into.
- Minimal-Normal safe mode.
- Alternate shell-Safe mode with CMD.
- Network-Safe mode with network.
- Active Directory repair-Directory service restore mode(domain controller only).
7.when you start your PC you will be redirected to safe mode automatically as shown.
Note:
- Every time when you restart you PC you will be redirected to safe mode.In order to get rid of it,once again open run and type "msconfig" and uncheck the safe mode under the boot tab and press ok.
- Restart your PC and you will be logged into the windows.
