How to Create a Favicon using Mspaint for Blog.

Hi friends in this tutorial i am gonna show you how to make or create a Favicon and add it to your blog.First of all you should know what exactly is a Favicon. Favicon is also known shortcut icon, URL icon or a website icon.The dimension of favicon may be 16x16, 32x32 pixels.In order to represent one's site or blog one should have there own favicon. There are so many site to create favicon but have you ever tried to make a favicon by using inbuilt tools in windows?If not i am gonna show you to make a favicon using ms paint and how to add it to your blog.

How to make a favicon using Mspiant.

1.First of all in order to make a favicon,make you own logo by using Photoshop or any other source.

2.Open ms paint.

3.Now open the image which you have created.

4.After selecting your image click on Resize. Now a small window will popup.Browse to pixel Tab.

5.In that type the horizontal and vertical pixels.when you type 16 in horizontal field automatically the vertical field gets filled.In order to get rid of it, uncheck the "Maintain aspect ratio" as shown below.

Uncheck the Maintain Aspect ratio and enter the pixels.

6.Now enter 16 in horizontal and 16 in vertical because the shape of the favicon should be a square and it's size should be less than 100KB and press enter and you will the shrink or small image as shown below.

7.Now save it as BMP picture with .ico extension as shown below.

8.Now you will see a small icon as shown below.

How to add favicon icon to your blog

1.Open your blog and go to layout.

2.Click on edit option of favicon on the right side.

3.Now a separate window will pop.In that click on "choose" and browse to the image which you have created and click on save as shown below.

4.Now refresh the blog and you will see your favicon at the top.
